ARTIST STATMENT
The title of this piece, "Amber Waves of Grain", is taken from the hymn "America the Beautiful". Both the music and my art represent the strength and beauty of our country and our hope for the future. I created my abstract "waves" by silkscreening layers of dye on silk. It is based on the vision that we will be able to continue to flourish as a country in spite of so many destabilizing influences.
