When I trust myself and allow my hands and eyes to take control, a small idea I have can turn into something larger and more meaningful than intended. Art making, for me, is about converting that idea floating around my brain into a visual narrative. and to create a whimsical experience for the viewer. Most importantly, I want my work to be open to personal interpretation and reflection. My hope is that I create space for understanding each other's differences and promote critical thinking.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
As a publication designer in the Bay Area, I have been making art since I was six years old. My style is whimsical, vibrant, and disarmingly uncomplicated. Patterns, games, and paths play an outsized role in my work. I attended Pratt’s Graduate Communications Design program after receiving a BA in journalism from UW-Madison. My art has been exhibited at the College of Marin, MarinMOCA, O’Hanlon Center, and Town Center Corte Madera.
