This painting embodies my hope for change in a society that often sees people of color only through the lens of skin color. It confronts the deep-rooted inequalities and social injustices that persist, urging viewers to recognize the inherent worth of every individual. Through powerful imagery and emotive colors, I aim to provoke dialogue and reflection, inviting all to join in the pursuit of understanding and equality for a brighter, more inclusive future.

Eva Facey questions what it means to be a human in this modern world. She captures her subjects in photographs, digitizing them on her computer, and then merges age-old techniques with modern technology. She uses layers of transparent color and sometimes mixes colors directly on the canvas creating alluring color palettes. Awaiting the viewer’s imagination her pieces hope to evoke emotions that bring more than just what the eyes are seeing.
